Dr. Nick Cornwell

Southern Dental Associates is pleased to announce and welcome Dr. Nick Cornwell to our practice.

Background and Education

Dr. Nick Cornwell grew up in Branchburg, New Jersey spending a great deal of time outdoors playing sports and attaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from high school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and soon after relocated to North Carolina. Dr. Cornwell graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S in Accounting and a minor in Biology. While an undergraduate he was an active member of Habitat for Humanity and regularly volunteered for the North Carolina Missions of Mercy clinics. Dr. Cornwell’s desire to help others grew from his experiences as a Boy Scout and his volunteer work for Habitat and Missions of Mercy, which ultimately grew into a passion for dentistry. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and has now relocated to the Winston Salem area.


Dr. Cornwell is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

Outside of Work

In his spare time, Dr. Cornwell enjoys cooking, playing basketball, hiking, volunteering and spending time with his family and friends.
