Background and Education
Dr. Chad Shobe was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. He was the oldest of five children in his family. Growing up he was involved in the Boy Scouts of America where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After high school he attended Arizona State University where he received a BS in Biology. He then went on to obtain his dental degree from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Shobe practiced as a general dentist in Texas for five years. While practicing as a general dentist he saw a huge need for pediatric dentists and decided to return to school. He completed his pediatric residency at The University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio, where he received a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry as well as a master’s degree in oral biology. He is very excited to serve families in the greater Winston-Salem area!
Affiliations
Dr. Shobe is a member of the American Dental Association and The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists. He has been involved in charitable organizations such as Dental Health Arlington and Flying Samaritans, providing care to underserved people in Mexico and Central America.
Outside of Work
Dr. Shobe, his wife Elizabeth, and five children (Emma, Sabrina, Matthew, Julia and Luke) reside in Winston-Salem. He enjoys playing basketball, going to sporting events, travelling, and spending time with his family.
