Dr. Crystal Ferguson

Dr. Crystal Ferguson was born and raised in Lenoir, NC. After graduating from Hibriten High School, she attended East Carolina University. While there, she was a member of the ECU Marching Pirates and ECU Gospel Choir. She also studied abroad in the Central American country of Belize before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Upon graduating from college, she had an awesome opportunity to volunteer at a pediatric dental office in Richmond, Virginia. There she was mentored and nurtured by the senior pediatric dentist, as well as his staff and colleagues, gaining priceless experience. She realized there was joy and excitement in caring for and treating children, and ensuring that their dental healthcare needs are met at every phase of growth, from 12 months of age to young adult. It was then that she decided to become a pediatric dentist. She went on to attend dental school, graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in 2007. While there she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Award and Pierre Fauchard Academy International Honor Dental Organization Senior Student Award. Dr. Ferguson completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. in 2009, where she received a specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is happy to be home, serving the children of western North Carolina, after practicing pediatric dentistry in the Midwest for over 7 years.
