Dr. Lauren Russell

Background and Education
Dr. Lauren Russell was raised in Winston-Salem and graduated with honors from Mt. Tabor High School. She attended undergrad at The American University in Washington, DC, earning her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in International Studies with a minor in Spanish. Dr. Lauren returned to her home state to attend dental school at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with honors and attaining membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She then continued her education at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. Dr. Lauren fell in love with pediatric dentistry during her weekly rotations at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and has enjoyed working with children ever since.
Affiliations
Dr. Lauren is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society. She has volunteered to provide free dental care with the Missions of Mercy Dental Clinics, the Cincinnati Dental Society, and TeamSmile events.
Outside of Work
As a Winston-Salem native, Dr. Lauren is happy to be raising her two girls in her hometown with her husband, Dr. Brad Russell. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, cooking, cheering for the Tar Heels, attending sporting events, and horseback riding.
